Your Go Where You Are Story

Thank you for sharing your story with us!

We want to hear from you! Your responses will not be shared beyond the FBC leadership team without your permission.

Since January our church has been stepping into our "Go Where You Are" initiative. This push has been intended to help us remember that God has good work for us to do *here*! Where we are! In Benicia, Vallejo, and the Bay! Missions is not just something for those living in a far-off land. God has placed us here for a reason, to glorify him by loving our neighbors and sharing the gospel.

After the sermon series in January, the main thrust of this initiative came through our "Your 4" cards and Monthly Challenges. A brief recap:

Your 4 Cards

These cards will be filled out by each person (or done as a family) at FBC with the names of 4 non-Christians that they know here locally. This could be a neighbor, friend, coworker, etc. This will force people to be specific and thoughtful about who God has placed their life.

We were invited to pray for our four every day. We will pray that they come to know Jesus, but also pray for their general well-being and life circumstances.

We are called to love our neighbors and pray for them whether or not they become Christians. There is not pressure on us for certain results. That all remains in God’s hands. We simply want to be intentional to love our neighbors, pray for them, and share Jesus!

Monthly Challenges
These were simple action steps along the way to help them grow and engage in what God is doing each month. The challenges were:

-January: Fill out the Your 4 Card

-
February: Write Out Your Testimony. What difference has Jesus made in your life?

-March: Do one purposeful act of kindness to bless someone.

-April- Start a spiritual conversation by asking someone about their beliefs. What do they believe? Listen well.

-May- Share the gospel with someone.
